2021 Excellence Expo

Holland Park State School Gifted and Talented Education Committee proudly announces Excellence Expo 2021.

Our school motto is: Striving to Excel and we are looking forward to the school’s 16th Excellence Expo.

The Holland Park State School Gifted and Talented Education Committee invites all families, students, staff and community members to celebrate the gifts and talents of all our students from Preparatory year of learning to Year 6.

Official Ceremony

Date: Wednesday, 8 September, 2021

Time: 5:30pm - 6:30pm

Venue: School Hall

Presentation of Medallions

Medallions will be presented to all recipients in all categories at the official opening on Wednesday, 8 September, 2021. The names of the Highly Commended recipients will be displayed on the Hall Projectors, aligning with the presentation of each category. The Highly Commended recipients will be awarded at a school assembly (please see below)

Students' work

Students' work will be on display in classrooms around the school before and after the Official Ceremony for everyone to view.

Defining 'gifted' and 'talented

Gifted students are those whose potential is distinctly above average in one or more of the following domains of human ability:

Intellectual, creative, social and physical.
Giftedness designates the possession and use of outstanding natural abilities, called aptitudes, in at least one ability domain, to a degree that places an individual at least among the top 10%of age peers in the school.
