How to Help

The more successful our events are, the more we can provide to the school to enhance our children's learning and education. Fundraising is one of the P&C's main income generating activities and needs lots of helpers to happen.
In the background, hard working quiet achievers within the P&C deliver more benefits to our community.  If you like to work behind the scenes, consider helping out in some of these all-important, unsung, areas.

Grants Committee
There are many grants the school has the opportunity to apply for.  If successful, these can provide large cash injections for major works or excellent resources for the school. Applying for grants can take time and research, but the benefits are well worth it.

Improving our outdoor spaces
Our school boasts extensive grounds, which always need extra loving care.  We are on a drive to improve our grounds and make them greener, more enjoyable areas to play and relax.  To make this happen, we need labour, tools, tradies and equipment - every bit helps.

We love our volunteers!
Whether you're a creative thinker or great at getting things done, we need you.
Here are some of the great fundraising results the school community has achieved recently:

  • A record-breaking fete raising more than $55,000 set to improve the school grounds and play areas.
  • New garden areas and shade creators as part of a major 'Cooling the School' project.
  • A new pathway to prep classrooms to provide more pleasant access for students and parents.
  • New platform seating for children across all year levels.
  • Permanent power to our shelter on the oval.
Volunteers attending the school, other than parents of a child at school, e.g. Grandparent, etc. need to obtain a valid blue card prior in accordance with the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000 (Qld).
